We welcome you to start your day with a good stretch and slow flow practice. The class focuses on the breath, warming up the body and then moving through a gentle, slow flow. Our goals are to help your body be ready and energized for the day – through breath, stretch and movement.
Breath, Balance and Body Weight
This half-hour class hits three major areas in a short half-hour practice. Typically our fast-paced days have us moving quickly and breathing shallow. The first segment will focus on slowing down the breath and breathing deeply. Second, as we age we tend to lose balance and strength – and this applies to anyone over the age of 25! We will then move through a series of poses that build balance and the last segment will be a few exercises that build strength using our own body weight. You are invited to slow down, center and build strength in this dynamic half-hour practice.
Do you want to practice yoga, but have physical limitations or unable to move comfortably from the floor to standing. Join us as we learn breath, stretch, and movement all from a seated position. Balance poses are also practiced with the aid of the chair. We are excited for you to learn how to bring greater mobility, stretch, and breathwork to the body through this seated practice.
This is an all levels Christ-Centered Hatha Yoga Practice. Hatha Yoga focuses on the breath, alignment, holding the poses and moving through a slow flow practice. Through this process, you will be challenged, stretched and grounded through the breath, the Word and movement. We were created body, mind, and spirit – so together we move, worship, stretch, pray and rest.
